We are always excited for a taste of something special. How about a whole bunch of it at once?

Friday Dec. 19th features tastings with the charismatic Sean with his fine Southern manners tasting wonderful French wines and a pink Alsacian bubbly, Huber & Bleger. Yes it is perfect for this celebratory season.

We also have Gina whipping up yummy little appetizer bites with Nduja, a super yummy spreadable salami from Calabria, and that means plenty of personality with plenty of no-nonsense, in-your-face Calabrian red chili added. Viva Calabria!

We are also offering some olive oil & cheese samples. What’s not to love? Come at lunch time and indulge.

Free Tasting? We love those!

Come taste Kamut Elbows with Tomatoes and Capers with Renato Sardo of Baia Pasta. Baia Pasta is organic and artisan made right here in our beloved Oakland, and is a finalist of Martha Stewart’s “American Made”.

Come by around 11:30 and through lunchtime to have a taste!

Our lovely French wine merchant Francois is back from vacation and ready to pour everyone’s new favorite French wines at lunchtime today. Have a taste while awaiting your sandwich. Pick up a bottle or a few for Mother’s Day!

Taste some lovely French wines with Francois, accompanied by cheeses and salumi. He’ll be serving  Chateau Martinot – White Bordeaux 2012, Chateau Garrineau – Red Bordeaux 2010, Andrieux & Fils – Côtes du Rhône Villages 2011, Andrieux & Fils – Vacqueyras 2011, and Domaine Gibault – Touraine Sauvignon 2012.

Let Francois entertain your palate!

Juicy stone fruits, bundles of herbs, colorful vegetables and legumes, and summer flowers are here every Friday. Have a breakfast wrap and take a stroll. We made a puree from last week’s favas, as well as a stone fruit pie!
